Make Friends With Daddy. Make Friends With Daddy. Make Friends With Daddy. That's what Momma has been telling me All Week Long. Momma said it was About High Time that I stopped Barking at Daddy every time he Comes Down The Stairs or Walks In The Back Door. Well how I am supposed to know Who is Coming Downstairs or Who is On The Porch until I see Just Who It Is with my Great Big Puppy Eyes that Miss Gloria says are So Stinking Cute. When I hear a Noise, then I Bark. Sometimes I Bark A Lot. And sometimes Momma says that I Roar Like A Lion.
But Momma says that Barking At Everyone is Not Good and I need to Quit That or she's going to Fill Up A Soda Can with Pebbles and Make a Lot Of Noise to Get My Attention Once And For All. Momma said she would have No Trouble finding a Lot Of Pebbles because Everywhere You Walk in this Country Bubble there are Pebbles and Rocks all Over Everything and that's why she Can't Wear all her Pretty Shoes From SteinMart and she has to wear Flats and look like a Country Bumpkin.
When Daddy came Home From Work last night I only Barked a Little Bit. I heard Steps On The Porch and I sat Up Straight and Listened Hard and I was Ready To Roar but Momma opened the Door and said It's Daddy Savannah Just Daddy See It's Daddy so I didn't Bark but I Watched Very Closely to Make Sure because He Was Gone All Day Long and Who Knows if maybe Momma made a Mistake and forgot what Daddy looked like. But then the Daddy Person said Hello Savannah Savannah How Are You Doing Tonight Savannah Savannah and I recognized his Voice because Momma has been telling him to Say Savannah's Name Over And Over And Over to make it Easy for me since I am Still A Puppy.
When Momma and I were Walking on The Road this afternoon we went all the way Up The Hill and I kept looking for Bella and Miss Judy. Momma said we had to Turn Around because maybe Bella was Sleeping. I kept Looking For Bella but Momma turned me around anyway and then a Truck came Up The Road and Stopped. Momma made me Stop too and then the Truck Door opened up and there was Miss Judy and Bella and I ran up to Bella and gave her my Best Puppy Smile and Miss Judy kept saying Hello Savannah! Hello Savannah! Hello Savannah! and I Forgot To Be Nervous and I sat down and gave Miss Judy my Paw and then I played with Bella while Momma and Miss Judy said I Had A Lot Of Puppy Energy and maybe it was my New Hot Pink Leash that was making me So Frisky. Bella had to get Back In The Truck with Miss Judy and I had to Keep Away from The Truck while it was Moving but I stood there in the Middle Of The Road and watched Miss Judy drive Bella home.
Tonight when Daddy was Watching Baseball and Eating Peanuts Momma told him Do Not Make A Mess On Her Floor so I jumped up on The Sofa and Sat Right Next To Daddy so he would know that Momma tells me The Very Same Words every time I Get A Drink of Water. When Daddy said These Peanuts Are Making Me Thirsty HaHaHaHaHa! he got Up and walked into The Kitchen and I went with him because I thought he would like to Drink Some Of My Water but he got Iced Tea instead so I got a Drink and Made A Mess on Momma's Floor and before Daddy and I could Sit Back Down on The Sofa again Momma had The Mop out and she was cleaning up The Puddles That A Certain Puppy Always Leaves On Her Floor.
Daddy said that Momma should Leave The Puddles Right Where They Are and just Clean The Floor One Time at the End Of The Day and Momma said that Men And Puppies Don't Even Care About A Clean Floor Because They All Would Live In A Cardboard Box if they didn't have Women taking Care of them. Daddy told me that Momma likes to Always Have The Last Word and I didn't know what a Cardboard Box was so me and Daddy sat there Watching Baseball and I put my head on Daddy's Lap and he told me Good Girl Savannah Good Girl It Looks Like You're A Daddy's Girl After All.
