My Momma walked me All The Way Down The Hill today. I was Scared even before we left The Driveway because Momma picked up a Big Stick and when she saw how Scared I got she told me that The Stick was not for Me but for her to use against Other Dogs if they should come Near Me. Momma told me she would Smack That Stick On The Road to Scare Away a Stray Dog if we happened to see one. Momma said The Stick was with us Just In Case.
Momma told me I had to Trust Her and Believe that she would Never Hurt Me with That Stick so I did and off we went All The Way Down The Hill. We walked and walked and Momma said we were going to my First Garage Sale at Gloria-The-Dog-Lover's House. I was Too Busy smelling all the New Grass at the Bottom of The Hill to ask what a Garage Sale was and Why were we Going There because we already had a Garage.
When we walked past the Bottom of Our Hill there was a Giant Animal inside a White Fence. Momma said it was a Horse and his Name was Diablo. I stood there in the Middle of The Road and watched that Horse come Running up to The Fence. Momma said that Diablo is Friendly to Everybody which I kind of figured out for myself because she didn't Smack That Stick On The Road when the Horse got Close to me. I don't speak Horse so I couldn't ask Diablo why his People didn't have a Collar and a Leash on him and I wondered if Momma was going to take him to the Garage Sale too.
We got to Miss Gloria's house and there were Trucks and Cars all over the Driveway and Momma and I waited in The Road for some of them to Go Away. Then Momma put that Stick down against the Fence because she said the Stick would be In The Way and Whatever She Broke at that Garage Sale would Have To Be Paid For and then she told me to Be Extra Careful unless I planned to pay Miss Gloria with Puppy Treats if I Broke Any Of Her Junk.
Miss Gloria's driveway was Hard and Uncomfortable to walk on and Momma said That's Just Rocks And Gravel and the Faster I walked the Sooner I would be Off The Rocks and On The Concrete. Momma said something else about Damn Country Driveways In This Godforsaken Country Bubble but she was Muttering Under Her Breath and I didn't quite catch All of what she was saying but it must have been Okay because next thing I knew she was Smiling at Miss Gloria and Miss Gloria was saying Why Hello Savannah You Come To Visit Me At My Garage Sale Did You Bring Money HaHaHaHa!
Momma was holding tight to my Leash because I didn't have Puppy Treats or Money to Pay For Any Junk I Broke and I was letting Miss Gloria pet me and the Other People at the Garage Sale were just looking at me and asking if I was For Sale Too HaHaHaHa. Miss Gloria told them all that they Couldn't Afford Me because I was Priceless because I Am So Stinking Cute.
Miss Gloria and my Momma just Talked and Talked and I Sat There by Momma's Feet and the Other People walked around the tables filled with Miss Gloria's Junk And Treasures and Things That Nobody Needs but They'll Buy It Anyway Just To Have Something To Do. Momma and I walked around the tables when the Other People left and Momma said we Needed a Painted Wood Chicken and a Painted Green Frog and Miss Gloria put The Treasures in a Bag and told Momma that it was Okay that she didn't bring Money with her because She Knew Where We Lived HaHaHaHa.
Momma said I was being Really Good considering there were So Many Strangers in Miss Gloria's Yard and she told Miss Gloria that I would Probably Sleep All Afternoon after such a Big Adventure. Before we started back for Home I had to Walk Fast Over The Country Rocks And Gravel again in this Godforsaken Country Bubble and then Momma picked up that Big Stick and we headed back. I looked for the Horse Diablo when we got to the White Fence but he was so far off in the field that he looked Smaller Than Me.
When we got to Our Hill I turned myself to the Left and Momma said Good Girl Savannah You Know Where We Live Good Girl! Well that wasn't too hard to figure out because there's only Two Ways To Go and it was just a Lucky Guess on My Part but I will remember it the Next Time for sure. Momma said that we'll go Walking a Little Farther every day and sooner or later I will be able to find my way home from The Main Highway but Momma said I won't ever have to Worry about that because No Dog Of Hers will ever be Walking By Herself Up By The Main Highway.
Momma didn't much like the New Trick I taught myself today. I jumped right Over The Sofa so I could see what was on the Other Side of Sweet Pea's Room. Momma said that Sweet Pea needed his Own Space to Feel Safe From A Puppy and Jumping On The Cushions and then Jumping Over The Sofa wasn't exactly the Smartest Thing I've Done Here and then she gave me a long string of her No!No!No!No!No!No! So many of them that I Lost Count.
When the Daddy Person got home from Work today Momma was Happy because I didn't Bark and Roar at him the way I did when he Went To Work. I had to smell his Hand before I let him pet me and when I realized that it was my Daddy Person I sat Next To Him on The Floor and licked his Arm and his Hand and Momma said I was going to Drown Daddy In Puppy Spit if I didn't Quit that. So I stopped the Licking after a while but then I kept putting my Paw on his Leg and on his Arm and that made Momma Smile because she said Finally Savannah Finally You Remember Who Your Daddy Is.
Then Daddy took my Blue Monkey and kept Throwing It Across The Room so I could Go Get It And Bring It Back and we did that until I Got Tired because I'm Still A Puppy so I jumped on The Sofa to Rest. Daddy must have liked that Trick because he Smiled and said to Momma that he was Sitting On The Floor and Momma was Sitting on A Chair and Savannah Had The Sofa All To Herself And What Was Wrong With That Picture HaHaHaHaHa.
I guess Daddy liked the Licking and liked my Paw on his Leg and on his Arm because he said that he Knew This Puppy Had Potential All Along. I don't know what Potential is but it doesn't sound like a Bad Thing. It sounds like I should get an Extra Treat for that or at least be Allowed to Jump Over the Sofa again because that sure was Fun and Sweet Pea does it All The Time so he must have Potential too.
