Savannah's Puppy Diary

Momma says Christmas is over but she's still Busy Busy Busy. All of the Santas and Angels and Stars are going Back into the Same Boxes she took them Out Of. Well what's the Sense of That. And all those little Trees are going Back into the Closet. The Big Tree in the Dining Room is still there and Momma keeps telling me that I'm a Good Girl because I haven't touched it. I guess Momma didn't see me putting my Nose underneath one of the Branches but then Daddy walked into the Dining Room so I looked at him and Smiled and then Daddy told Momma Savannah Must Really Like The Big Tree Because She's Just Standing In Front Of It With A Big Smile On Her Face. That was a Close One.

I never did Get To See That Santa Guy. He was at the Christmas Parade but Momma said he was Coming to Our House and bringing me Special Treats and Biscuits. I always  get Treats and Biscuits so I guess Santa was here and I missed him.  I did bark on Christmas Eve though and Momma called to me from Upstairs and said Unless Santa Is On The Porch Savannah You'd Better Go To Sleep.

Momma was Very Upset with me This Morning after our Walk On The Road. Momma told Daddy that I nearly Pulled Her Down three times when the Neighbors were Leaving For Work. Momma says that If I Don't Stop Trying To Catch Pick-Up Trucks she's going to put Blinders on me so I can't See Anything when we're Walking. I don't know what Blinders are but they Don't Sound So Good. I tried to tell Momma that I'm Protecting Her From Those Trucks but she Doesn't Understand.

This afternoon Daddy took me for a Walk because he said that Momma Needed A Break. Daddy walked me down the Wrong Road first and I didn't get a chance to Pee and then Daddy went Left instead of Right and next thing I knew my Collar had Slipped Off and I Was Free and Daddy was saying Come Here Savannah Come Here and I looked at Daddy and knew that I could Run Faster Than He Could but I figured that I didn't need Both Momma and Daddy upset with me on the Same Day so I stayed there and Daddy got my Collar back on. Being Free didn't last Too Long.

I thought Daddy was going to tell me This Will Be Our Little Secret Savannah but he told Momma about me getting Out Of My Collar as soon as we got Inside The Back Door. I didn't think Daddy was That Brave. Momma wanted to know How Did That Happen and Daddy said Maybe There Was Something Wrong With The Collar and then Momma gave Daddy a Look that I think means she Wants To Say A Lot of Words but then she Just Keeps Her Lips Tight and Says Nothing. I think that Momma saying Nothing is Worse than Momma saying Everything.

When Daddy told Momma that I didn't Pee or Do Anything before or after my Collar slipped off Momma put her Coat on and we went back to the Road and Walked The Right Way and I did Everything I Needed To Do and then we came Back Inside and Momma gave me a Biscuit.

Daddy told Momma that he's going to Take Me to the Walmart Parking Lot and Walk me Around and Around until I get Used To Cars without Pulling At My Leash. Momma's answer to that was Over My Dead Body. I don't know what Dead Body means but it doesn't sound Good.
